Fretless helps households track and plan their money. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your account details: name, email address and password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Financial data you add or connect: accounts, balances, transactions, bills, income, budgets and goals.
- If you connect a bank, Plaid shares account and transaction data with us. We never see or store your bank username or password.
- Basic usage and performance data (pages viewed, load times) without advertising identifiers.
How we use it
- To show your finances, forecasts and reminders, and to share them with the members of your household you invite.
- To send the emails you turn on, such as bill reminders and invitations.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Only you and the people you invite to your household, according to the role you give them. Our service providers (Supabase for the database and sign-in, Vercel for hosting, Plaid for bank connections, Resend for email, and Anthropic for Ask Fretless answers when you use it) process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
Your choices
- Export your data from Settings at any time.
- Disconnect a bank from Settings; we stop receiving its data and delete the connection.
- Delete your account from Settings; your personal data is removed, and households you own are deleted with it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside a household is enforced by the database itself, not just the app. More on the security page.
